Welcome to Stanton St Gabriel
"I seemed to be looking over half a county, where all the greens of the world were gathered for review... It is a lonely parish, Stanton St. Gabriel. Its thousand acres hold but fifty souls. On its seaward edge, one might be in a deserted land, alone with rabbits and crows. That is to say, as far as the sight of humanity goes."

On this site you'll find, among other things, maps, walks in the parish, local history, responses to planning applications , information about the Parish Council and more.
Like the UK Parliament, Dorset Council and hundreds of other national and local governments, Char Valley Parish Council (which includes Stanton St Gabriel) has acknowledged (in June 2019) that there is a worldwide climate and environmental emergency. While governments and international bodies (the UN, the EU, for example) can do most to implement the changes needed to cut carbon emissions, reverse habitat loss, eliminate insecticides, etc., we can do something else at parish level.
Here's what's happening in the parish to address the climate and environmental emergency.
